What Are You Doing?
Congrats to brainfooders Richard Prime and Damon Chapple, as they close a massive £110MM funding round. No exaggeration to say that Sonovate has changed recruiters and recruitment agencies - looks like they are about to change it further.
Big moves in the recruiting industry events / media business. George LaRocque joins Unleash Group as Event Director for the US business, whilst Shannon Pritchett joins CareerXroads as Managing Director. Exciting times ahead for both these brainfooders - wish them both every success
Exciting product developments for Neil Brodie and the rest of the crew at JobDiva, who announce CV-Library integration in a big move in the UK agency / job board space.
Finally, our friends at Tengai continue to teach us smart marketing, by doing the different in a loud way. World’s first robot led hire? Congrats to Charlotte Ulvros, Elin Oberg Martenzon and, of course, the hired candidate, Anders Örnhed
This is a new segment and experiment in ‘community news’. If you are a brainfood subscriber and something exciting news to share and want more people to know about it, reply to this email and let me know…
End notes
Next 6 weeks, I’ll be on the road whilst Cousin Stephen Li house sits with clear instructions not to have any parties and to keep the frogs alive.
It’s going to be crazy trip - Cologne, Yerevan, Hong Kong, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, London, Paris, Kiev, Berlin - but I’ll make the most of it by catching up with as many brainfooders as I can along the way.
Let me know if you’re in any of these places and we’ll figure out a way to do a meetup or just meet up.
First up, Cologne, tomorrow for 3 days, followed 4 days / nights in Yerevan. DM me on twitter or Instagram if you want to talk hiring, what a great idea Brexit is or the future of the planet. I’ll do it for guided tour of the Dom or a bite of gavari baklava
Have a great week everybody.
